IMPORTANT: Submissions and Project Requirements for HarvestHacks

Here are some IMPORTANT details regarding submissions and projects for HarvestHacks:

The projects are free-form, meaning as long as it has real-world implications. This means that whether it's a web-app, mobile-app, or personal project...as long as you can convey the message in the 1-4 minute  recorded slideshow or demo, you have a competitive project that has a chance of winning.

Here are the full requirements for the video:

  • A 1-4 minute video submission of the project, where the team member/s describe the main goal of the project, and some standout aspects if needed.
  • Please make sure to also give a brief mention throughout the video of the thought process in creating this project.
  • A recording of a slideshow that showcases the project is also fine, as long as you are able to show a live demo on a call with the judges, if you are audited.

We are anticipating an increase in the amount of AI/ML related submissions this year, and although we encourage exploring newer fields like AI/ML, all projects will be graded from a holistic standpoint, with no extra points given for covering special topics (such as AI/ML or Cybersecurity).

Thank you, and happy hacking!
